Kaffe Fassett Dresden Plate Lap Quilt - Throw Quilt - Handmade - Vibrant Violet Quilt
For your consideration I have a lovely lap quilt sewn up in vibrant, jewel toned Kaffe Fassett fabrics. The quilt is made in a Dresden Plate pattern. The background of each block and the sashing between the blocks is a vibrant plum - red violet cotton. The blades of each plate are stunning Kaffe Fassett prints with a distressed red muslin circle at the center.
The quilt measures @ 69" x 69" - large enough for a good sized lap quilt, or as a pretty topper on a bed - and is quilted with a zig zag stitch around the "plates", a meandering stipple stitch in the background, and a wavy serpentine stitch on the sashing. The backing of the quilt is made up of bright prints and solids with a black and cream paisley sashing between the blocks. The binding is a pretty red Kaffe Fassett floral with mitered corners. The batting used in this quilt is 100% cotton.
